Zimt was founded with a bigger purpose: A portion of the proceeds from all of our sales are shared with organizations that are actively working to make a difference. Through generous support from customers like you, we are making positive change possible.

Fundraisers

Zimt has partnered with various organizations since its founding to spread the love. From donating to fight for women's rights and environmental justice, to disaster relief efforts across the nation, we work hard to fight for a better tomorrow for all. Thanks to the generous support of our Zimt customers, we continue to raise funds throughout the year. Stay tuned for the latest fundraising drives!

Midwest Access Coalition We are donating 10% of proceeds from sales of our Red White & Blue duet to Midwest Access Coalition, working to provide safe and secure access to women's reproductive health care. As a woman owned business, helping our fellow women in need across the midwest is particularly close to our hearts.	Global Greengrants Partnering with Global Greengrants for Earth Day was a sweet and simple choice! 10% net proceeds from our Mother Earth big bite Plätzchen went to this wonderful organization helping make the world more resilient and equitable.	Black Girl Ventures Continued! Pineapple Basil and Blood Orange Rosemary Plätzchen are not the only beautiful thing about March. In celebration of Women's History Month, we are extending our proceed sharing to Black Girl Ventures one more month. With an organization as dedicated to minority women as this one, we had to keep these Plätzchen with a Purpose working hard!
Black Girl Ventures February is a busy month! But these Red Velvet and Dragonfruit Valenitne's aren't the only thing spreading the love. In honor of Black History Month, we are donating a portion of proceeds from all sales made in the first quarter of 2022 to Black Girl Ventures. Starting a business takes a lot of courage, and a little help from our friends goes a long way!	Garcia High School Using the net proceeds donated for the month of December 2021, we purchased basic school supplies for the students of Garcia High School, a charter school in Chicago's underserved west side, to start their new year and new semester off right. We even threw in some of our delicious traditional holiday Plätzchen for those hard working teachers to sweeten their day.	Common Pantry Our November Donation to Common Pantry was our best yet, thanks in large part to an amazing level of support from our Lincoln Square Farmers Market community. Together, we are feeding hundreds of Chicagoans in need--and not just with our signature stamped Lebkuchen cookies!
Proceed Sharing Update Zimt is now donating proceeds monthly, from all purchases across the month. Our November donation will go to Chicago's Common Pantry, providing a warm Thanksgiving meal and ongoing food security to those in need.	Youth Guidance As we transitioned from Long Beach to Chicago, for Father's Day 2021 we wanted to donate to a cause active in both places. Cheers to that with these Margarita and Old Fashioned flavored Plätzchen! Youth Guidance's Becoming A Man program helps young men from disinvested and marginalized communities in both cities reach their full potential through counseling and professional guidance.	ThinkHer Project A floral duet of Orange Lavender and Strawberry Rose, sweetened with local honey. For Mothers Day 2021 we launched a partnership with The ThinkHer Project, working to empower women in developing countries gain financial stability and independence. This fundraiser was our most successful yet, and we are thrilled to be able to support this amazing non-profit!
Global Greengrants An earthy Matcha cookie meets beautiful superfood swirls of glaze colored with organic spirulina. For Earth Day 2021 we launched a partnership with Global Greengrants Fund, who funds grants globally for targeted, locally driven and executed sustainability initiatives. Zimt donated 20% of proceeds of all Mother Earth Plätzchen sales to this wonderful nonprofit.	EYCEJ We did find success in 2020 thanks to our Zimt Fam spreading the good word! Of course, we shared that success with East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice by donating 10% of our annual profits.	Voices for Racial Justice Pomegranate and Berry aren't the only lovely thing about this duo. Sales of these beauties for Valentine's 2021 donated to Voices for Racial Justice, fighting for racial justice and community healing in Minnesota. Talk about spreading the Love!
RIP Notorious RBG A decadent lace decor on our rich chocolate Plätzchen. To honor the late Justice Ginsburg, a portion of the proceeds for this special flavor was donated to Ms. Foundation for Women, supporting women-led movements to advance meaningful social, cultural and economic change in the lives of women.	CA Wildfire Relief 2020 Voted our fan favorite, we wanted to take this Plätzchen and support something greater. Proceeds from this flavor sold between September through December 2020 went towards the Global Giving's California Wildfire Relief Fund, supporting families and individuals displaced by the unprecedented wildfire season.	#BakersAgainstRacism Our business began with a call to action from Bakers Against Racism. We developed our classic quartet flavors for this donation drive. 100% of sales from this one week long bake sale went to Color of Change.

Our December donation is in, this time in physical form! 720 pencils, 320 pens, 50 notebooks, dozens of highlighters, and so much more went to students of Garcia High School in Chicago to start their semester off right!	Our November donation has been sent! We are so happy to have the opportunity to help feed those in need this holiday season with our proceed sharing program.	Zimt baked a donation of Chocolate Chip and Snickerdoodles for young men in the Becoming a Man counseling program. Cookies make for a great reward for good attendance and on-time assignments!
Paul met us at the market to pick up this donation of cookies for Youth Guidance and Becoming a Man. Their various programs help youth across the city and country with counseling, training, and support!	These delicious cinnamon dusted cookies are a little something extra special for Youth Guidance. Their students are in for a treat!	Zimt donated one last batch of 300 muffins to DAYS Long Beach before leaving town for our new home in Chicago. We certainly had fun making them, and it looks like the recipients enjoyed them too!
A budding urban farm in Long Beach held an eco fair complete with hands on eco workshops and a raffle to help raise funds to build out the farm. Zimt of course donated some Plätzchen to the cause, and had a lot of fun making new sustainable home goods while we were at it!	We took a quick break from the hot kitchen to go to a hot warehouse and pack some yummy goods! Food packed went to seniors in need in the LA area. Volunteer at your local food bank today!	Zimt donated 5 dozen carrot muffins to Grow 2 Zero Farms, for their weekly food drive organized by Armada Unified. Such amazing and empowering organizations!
Thanks to generous donations from our Zimt Fam we were able to bake 25 loaves of banana bread for a local non profit UCO LB to feed the homeless	Zimt gives to AOC7 local Long Beach food drive on 12/12/20. These cookies were part of grocery bags going to local families hit hard by the pandemic.	Zimt donated over 20 pumpkin pies to Feel Good Salsa's Thanksgiving meal drive, feeding families hard hit by the pandemic.

Zimt donated almost 600 cookies to DAYS Long Beach, who distributed them as part of their weekly grocery donation to local families in need	We donated homemade pies to AOC7's food drive on 11/14/20, which gave 200 families Thanksgiving grocery bags this year!

Our business began with a call to action from Bakers Against Racism. We developed our classic quartet flavors for this donation drive. 100% of sales from this one week long bake sale went to Color of Change.
